POLICY NUMBER: 3.4(f) Page #1 of 1 Pages | ADOPTED: 12/5/05 First Reading: 11/3/05 Second Reading: 12/5/05 |
It is the policy of the Hudson School Board to support summer programs for students in the Hudson School District. All offerings shall be operated under the auspices of the District’s Summer Program unless specifically granted an exception by the School Board.
Applications for exceptions to this policy must be made no later than the second School Board meeting in March preceding the summer for which the exception is sought.
The School Board may grant extended exceptions for certain programs. Otherwise, all programs for which exceptions are sought must be approved annually by the School Board.
With the exception of summer programs governed by state or local statutes, the District’s Summer School Programs are intended to be self-supporting. Tuition related to enrichment or academic programs must be paid prior to the start of the program. No tax dollars shall be expended to support summer programs.
No transportation will be provided by the School District, unless governed by state or federal statutes.
The Superintendent of Schools shall cause to be developed appropriate procedures for the implementation of this policy. Such procedures shall be approved by the Hudson School Board and included in the District’s Procedure Manual.
