The Business Office provides a number of services for district staff, community members, as well as vendors with whom the district contracts for services. A brief summary of the services provided by each department is listed below. 

Finance Department
This Department is managed by the Finance Director, and is comprised of the following areas:

The Payroll/Bookkeeper is responsible for the preparation, processing and maintenance of the District’s payroll including the preparation of paychecks, direct deposits and payroll liabilities.

The District Accountant is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of a complete set of financial records for the District including the preparation of general ledger adjustments, reconciliation, and accurate and timely financial and statistical reporting. In addition, this position provides bookkeeping services for all federally funded programs, keeping a true and accurate record of the budget and expenses.

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for the day to day processing and verification of invoices and purchase orders, and checking for accuracy through to timely processing.

Human Resources
The Human Resources Department prepares all human resource policies and procedures, and develops job descriptions for district employees. The department plans and coordinates the recruitment of all professional and support staff for the district. The department maintains all personnel paperwork as well as ensuring all credentialed staff maintain appropriate certifications. In addition, the department develops, administers the implementation of the District’s health, life and dental insurance, retirement, COBRA, Section 125, and Health Care Portability Act compliance.

Facilities
The district employs a variety of employees to maintain the buildings and grounds. Each school has custodians, while the district has an electrician, an HVAC technician, a maintenance worker as well as grounds maintenance staff who work district wide. The district contracts with Aramark Education Services to provide a Custodial Manager to direct the custodial services and a Facilities Director to supervise the overall operations of the Facilities Department and supervise district wide facilities staff.

Food Service
The Food Service Department is responsible for providing nutritious breakfasts and lunches to students, and determining eligibility for free and reduced breakfasts and lunches. The current cost for meals are:

Transportation
