➢ Don’t share drinks
➢ Vaccination with seasonal flu shot and H1N1 flu shots when available
• These are the preventative measures the HSD is taking NOW:
➢ The HSD is actively working to make hand sanitizer available in every class room
➢ Priority is being given to sanitizing railings, doorknobs, and bathrooms
➢ Teachers are reviewing proper flu hygiene with students in the classrooms as needed
➢ School Nurses are providing daily monitoring of potential and reported flu cases
➢ HSD and community EMS are collaborating for response to a potential H1N1 outbreak in Hudson
• Keep your children home if they become ill with the flu until they are fever free without use of fever reducing medication for at least 24 HOURS.
• Report all incidents of Student Flu Symptoms to your local School Nurses Office.
